According to data from the US Census Bureau, the multiracial population increased 276% between 2010 and 2020.

 

Additionally, the number of Americans who identify as two or more races is projected to increase 200 percent by 2060. And, yet, Biracial stories are often silenced, or subsumed by the categorization of race in binary terms.

 

On Being Biracial amplifies the voices of multiethnic people of a variety of ages and experiences, centering their shared experiences as well as their inherent diversity.

 

We hope that, by creating nuanced and multidimensional conversations about a wide range of topics, those telling their stories will feel heard and those listening will gain an appreciation of the diversity within diversity.
